Central Villas

Central Villas (55 and older)

Central Villas is a new 2 story non-smoking apartment complex with a total of 40 units for people 55 and older.  There are 30 – 1 bedroom (6 units are handicap accessible) and 10 – 2 bedrooms (2 units are handicap accessible).  Sizes range from 659 to 821 square feet.  Each unit comes with a 1 stall garage.  Each apartment is furnished with a range with self-cleaning ovens, frost free refrigerator, microwave ovens, dishwasher, washer & dryer, central air conditioning, forced air heating, mini-blinds, carpet, interior storage closets, and cable TV & high speed internet hookups.  All utilities are included.  On-site amenities include a community room with a kitchen and gas fireplace, picnic area, elevator and a foyer with security.  Central Villas will also have an on site activity director.  Ride Line tickets will be available for purchase at a reduced rate.

Rent is as follows:

1 Bedroom– $375-$605

2 Bedroom– $670-$745

Rent is NOT 30% of your adjusted income.  Tenants are required to pay a set rent unless they are using a Section 8 Voucher; then rent will be 30% of their adjusted income.

An applicant will be Denied if:

*You owe money to AHA or another public housing authority.

*A household member has been convicted of certain criminal activity.

Waiting List Information

All new applicants must fill out the Aberdeen Housing Authority’s application. After the entire application is filled out and the proper information is turned in, the new applicant is placed on the chosen program’s waiting list. This is a first come, first serve basis depending on individual qualifications. The applicant will be mailed a letter stating that they have reached the top of the waiting list when his or her turn has arrived. All waiting lists vary and the AHA can not predict how long it will be before a unit is available.

Applicant Responsibilities

After you have completed an application and have been placed on the waiting list, it is your responsibility to notify the office if:

  • Your mailing address changes; or
  • Your family size changes; or
  • You no longer wish to be on the Aberdeen Housing Authority waiting list.

NOTE:  If AHA correspondence is returned because of an incorrect address, your application will be removed from our waiting list and you will need to reapply.
